Harold J. DeYoung, age 97, of Allendale, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Edna. Harold will be lovingly remembered by his children, Charles and Lorie DeYoung, Chris DeYoung, Mary and Bill Espinoza; grandchildren, Justin DeYoung, Morgan and Travis Ernst, Jeremy and Leigh Espinoza; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Laurel, Weston, and Sadie Ernst; sister, Helen VanLaar; and many nieces and nephews. Harold loved his family and would do anything for them. He was especially known for his woodworking skills, and he crafted many wonderful treasures for his loved ones. He loved working in his yard and flower garden. He had a generous heart and enjoyed serving for CRWRC (World Renew) as a worker, supervisor, and estimator. Most of all, Harold loved the Lord and was a strong Christian leader for his family. A private graveside service and memorial will be held with family at Allendale Township Cemetery. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Allendale Christian School.
