Howard Charles Breen

September 1, 1934 ~ March 31, 2024

Howard Charles Breen, age 89, of Wyoming, passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, surrounded by his family. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired after many years from Capital Express Truck Lines. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, always with his wife, Sharon. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at their “Shack” on Pleasant Lake. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 ½ years, Sharon; Barbara and Jeffrey Hoffius, Robert Howard and Kathleen Breen; grandchildren: Shelby Hoffius, Megan Hoffius (Miguel Arambula), Colton Hoffius; great grandchildren: Elijah; sister-in-law, Pat Nigg; brother-in-law, Gary (Kathleen) Schottke; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Pearl Breen; sisters: Joan and Joyce; brother, Richard. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming with Pastor Dennis Gilbert. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10:00 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
