James Clinton Wright, age 81, of Grandville, passed into eternity with his Lord on Thursday, February 15, 2024, due to complications from Parkinson’s Disease. Jim was a tool designer and later a manufacturing engineer at Steelcase for 25 years. He was a car enthusiast, and also had hobbies of painting and wood carving. Jim also enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jim was a longtime member of Grace Bible Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce (Bronkema) Wright; daughter, Natasha Wright; son, Chad Wright; grandsons, Aidan Katerberg, and Leland Berman-Wright; sister, Carol and Doug Fairchild; brothers, Bruce and Jill Wright, David and Susan Wright; sister-in-law, Patricia Bronkema; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Kittlynn Wright; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Mervyn Witt; and brother-in-law, Howard Bronkema. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Grace Bible Church, 3715 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Todd Kinde officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday, February 19, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. A private burial will take place at Winchester Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or Grace Bible Church-Missions Fund.
