How I have loved Jan, (I've always called her Jan!) her sense of humor, her kindness and her love of the Lord. Jan and I met when the Shermans moved into the Sherman homestead in Caledonia. Our Ben became best friends with her Andy (Andrew) and they still are! We have had so many good memories. Jan and I used to bake pies, do canning, work together in church. We traveled together to Chicago. We visited doctors and went out to lunch. We helped with some of the boys wedding receptions in her front yard. Jan loved her boys and John. And John has been such a great support for Jan through the years with her health issues, a devoted husband. I"m so grateful Jan was in my life and that I was in hers. We shared some very special times and I know she is looking down on her sweet family, smiling, with a clear mind and no longer hurting. Till we meet again, my dear friend. with love, Marion and Ken Stewart

Janice Sherman -- such a delightful personality. I remember Jan as being helpful, thoughtful, giving and kind. I was in the Sherman home many times and treated with goodness and love. When we first moved to Michigan, four family of six was invited to dinner with John and Jan, at their home. Jan was so darling and made sure to ask what my children's favorite dinner food was. The meal was wonderful and the company exceptional. We truly felt like they were glad to have us! Jan was so cute with all our children. I remember taking my youngest daughter with me to visit Jan. Sometimes, Jan would give her a quarter, which brightened her day. We love the Sherman's and appreciate the times we were able to spend together. May the Sherman family feel the loving kindness of a loving Father in Heaven at this time, with peace and gratitutde. I count it a blessing to be one of Jan's friends. Dana Ashby Caledonia, MI
