Piccard, Jean C. (Kutzli), age 95 of Grand Rapids, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Harold J. Piccard; her parents, Reuel and Tena Kutzli; father and mother-in-law, Henry and Nellie Piccard; brothers and sisters, Evelyn Kutzli, Thomas Kutzli, Clarence Kutzli, Rachel Close; grandsons, William Taggart and Michael Mikula; several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Jean is the loving mother of Harold James (Jean) Piccard, Barbara (Gary) Taggart, Kristine (Bernard) Shukis, Janet (Ronald) Rasch. She is the proud grandmother of 18 grands, 37 great grands, and 6 great great grands. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Edwin (Phyllis) Kutzli, Dorothy Moody, Margaret Stuhler, William Kutzli, Gary (Judy) Kutzli, LaDonna Larson, Linda Campbell, Lynn (Roseann) Kutzli; brother and sisters-in-law, James Piccard, Elaine (Wally) Van Houten, Phyllis Piccard, Harriet Piccard.
Jean was an active farm wife, avid gardener, excellent cook, enjoyed winters in Florida, coloring, playing cards and she loved traveling to all 50 states. She was a member of Marne American Legion Post 376 for 29 years, where she was the assistant editor. Jean lived out her final days in her much loved little house surrounded by family. Mother, you will forever be loved and missed.
As per Jean’s request, a private visitation and graveside burial will take place with interment at Rosedale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may consider a memorial contribution to Marne American Legion Post 376.
