John Kevin DeForest

John Kevin DeForest, age 66, of Conklin, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob DeForest; brother, Neal DeForest; sister, Juanita Anez; parents, Clinton and Wilma DeForest. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jordan and Tara DeForest, Ronald and Sarah Idema, Cole DeForest, Alishia and Carl Teal, Janice Rhyndress; grandchildren: Olivia, Zachary, Abigail, Gabriel, Ellie, Matthew, Easton, Hunter, Austin, Everlyn, Freyja; siblings: Deborah Main, Jessica DeForest; dogs, Lily and Rocky; many nieces and nephews. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed working on cars, Berlin Raceway and visits to Torch Lake. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming. Burial will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Due to gathering restrictions, there will be a limit on the number of people who may enter the building at a time. Those who wish may make memorial contributions towards the care of his dogs.
