Jose Augusto Rodriguez, age 42, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024. He moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic at a young age. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family, having a good time. He also enjoyed football, basketball, swimming, and playing dominoes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids, who he was most proud of.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Jose A. Rodriguez, Jaidalin Rodriguez, and their mother, Jessica Karriem; father and stepmother, Agustin (Paula) Rodriguez; siblings: Agustin Rodriguez, Macailin Rodriguez, Brittany Rief; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Casilda; and brother.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff of Corewell Health Hospice and Leffingwell Facility for their loving care of Jose. Contributions may be made to the needs of the family.
