January 13, 1960 ~ November 25, 2022

Joseph Paul Fegan, age 62, passed away in his home surrounded by family on November 25th in Belmont, MI, after an extended illness.

Joe was born on January 13, 1960, to E. Patrick and Vivien Fegan in Southeast MI. After Joe graduated from Elk Rapids High School in 1978 he went on to pursue his lifelong career in the restaurant service industry.

After 21 years in the restaurant industry, Joe founded Quality Draft Systems in 1999. This turned out to be a success above his highest expectations. Over the past 23 years Joe and his wife Amy had a unique and successful partnership developing a reputation of the highest standards in the industry. Quality Draft Systems was certified a Micro Matic preferred contractor throughout the Midwest.

On April 19th, 1997, in Grand Rapids, Joe married the former Amy Western. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patricia, and a niece, Kimberly. Joe is survived by his wife Amy and children, Alex, and Allison both living at home. He is also survived by siblings, Ruth A Chiles, Edward (Beth) Fegan, James Fegan, Jeannette (Tom) Hoopfer, Michael (Brenda) Fegan and twenty nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Diane (Dan)Feldpausch, father-in-law Rick (Jan) Western, brother-in-law-Rich (Ramac) Western and their two children.

Joe was always the life of any party and loved to share his success with family and friends alike. He was always looking for a reason to have folks poolside as much as possible during the summer months. Joe’s love of family, friends, life, and yes; work was self-motivated and never losing his sense of humor throughout his illness. Joe loved to travel, (specially to warm climates), camping, boating, and relaxing by his backyard pool. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2023 poolside at Joe’s Belmont home.

Your family and friends love you with all our hearts and soul knowing that this separation is temporary. You have shaped our lives forever.
