Karin Kempen, age 64, of Grand Rapids was welcomed home by her Lord and children on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. She was selfless and loved her family, dog, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter Megan Cannon; son, Andrew Cannon; and sister, Laura Schultz. She will forever be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years Mark Kempen; children, Jason (Mindy) Cannon and Katie Cannon; grandchildren, Darren, Connor, Dominik, Abigail and Charles; two great-granddaughters, Avery and Quinn; brothers and sisters Rick, Sarah and Jennifer; many loving nieces and nephews; and her companion dog Hayden. She was an amazing person and made a helluva potato salad. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 28th.
