Laura Jones

June 12, 1962 ~ September 10, 2022

Laura Jones (Yoder), age 60, of Holland, has fought the good fight, kept the faith, finished her race and ran into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Laura was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was a friend and faithful prayer partner to many. Laura’s legacy of faith was an example to all who knew her. Over the years she actively served her Lord with her time and talents in many ways. Laura established long lasting relationships mentoring many kids as a youth group leader and was involved in the community. She enjoyed beaches, sunsets, running, and anything outdoors. She will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing that she is home at peace with her Savior, and one day we will all be together again. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith Yoder; and her father-in-law, Rev. W.C. Jones. Laura is lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Brian; children, Sarah (Lane and Michael) Carey, Joshua (Jessie) Jones, Rachael Jones, Benjamin Jones; grandchildren, Riley and Cassidy; father, Terry Yoder; siblings, Greg and Ann Yoder, Beth and Jeff Frank; mother-in-law, Glenda Jones; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steven and Dee Jones, Jeffrey and Pam Jones, Susan and Eric Hobson; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 1 pm at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Keys for Kids Ministries.

Such sad news. I enjoyed knowing Laura as a teenager in my math class. Our thoughts are with the Yoder family, Terry, Greg and Ann.

Laura, my friend, I can't believe you are gone !!!! You had such a wonderful personality; I loved your sense of humor; your love for the Lord showed. I will miss you so much ! I looked forward to your visit with Brian every year, when you made it "down south" !! You are now in the awesome presence of our Savior, and loving it !! I shall see you again, my friend....save me a seat next to you at the table at the "wedding supper of the Lamb" 😇

Both Brian and Laura Jones were such special people. As youth pastors they made a big difference in the life of my son Steve. He was devastated when they left! As friends to me they were very caring. My husband and I took care of their children when they had to go to conferences or weekend youth activities. We always had a wonderful time with their children. Their children reflected their excellent parenting skills. Laura was a loving and kind person to anyone she met. Although she will be missed by many, I am thankful that she no longer in pain and is praising her Lord!

You had such a heart of Gold and am grateful for our talks. I am so glad that you reached out to me on the Saugatuck Dunes Walk. I didn't know anyone and went for the walk. You made me feel so at home when I was really lost at that time. You will be so missed...Praying for your family and friends..
