Lawrence Webster Albaugh, age 67, of Middleville, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Webster and Ruth Albaugh; and his brother, James. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Sharon; and dearly missed by his children, Jason (Erin) Albaugh, Matthew (Cat Allison) Albaugh, Geoffrey (Clare) Albaugh, Mary Albaugh; grandchildren, Katie, Charlie, and Luke; “sister,” Anne Gurecki; many brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews; dear friends, Bob and Jean Ralston; and many other friends. Lawrence was a caring, loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a devoted and active member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Caledonia, participating in the Prison and Jail Ministry, Marriage Encounter, Eucharist Minister and the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Williams and Works. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking trips to the U.P. to visit the “Mighty Mac.” He truly appreciated the beauty in nature that God has blessed us with. Larry enjoyed camping, running, and reading. Family came first for Larry and was always present at his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. He also enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and many foreign countries. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 9669 Kraft SE, Caledonia, with Rev. Michael Cilibraise officiating. Burial St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Holy Family Catholic Church Christian Services, Grand Rapids Diocese Prison and Jail Ministry, Special Olympics Michigan or A Cure in Sight.
