Linda K. Brown

Linda Brown, age 76, of Wayland/Dorr passed away unexpectedly and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Linda was born on September 21, 1947 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and grew up here her whole life. She was a credit collector for Old Kent Bank until her retirement. In her free time, Linda loved to go antiquing, and take care of her houseplants. She had a love for all things that involved strawberries. Linda had a heart of gold and would never turn her back on someone in need and would volunteer much of her time to veterans services in her community. More than anything in this world though, Linda loved and cherished her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mary Reynolds; and her grandson, Joey Lorentz. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Al Brown; children, Wendy (Joe) Lorentz, Richard Vargo, Dodie (Jim) Brigham; grandchildren, Kaden and Kendra, James, Alan, Emyt; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Wyatt, Otto, Brayden, Dakota, Maverick; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and her dear church family. Funeral services will be held 11 am, Friday, April 19, at Pennellwood Church of God, 3459 Reiser Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49548, with Pastor Jeff Ransom officiating. There will be a luncheon at the church immediately following the service. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Pennellwood Church of God.
