Lisa Diana Johnston, age 56, passed away in her sleep on Thursday, August 11, 2022. Lisa graduated from Sparta High School and attended Grand Rapids Community College. She enjoyed traveling and lived in many different states growing up. She also enjoyed animals, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her sons: Kyle, Kory, Kennedy and their father, Richard Johnston; siblings: Guy Boman, Michelle Boman, Paula Barrett; loving pug, Mojo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Boman and Mary (Elkins) Empie and siblings. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2022 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1-2 at the funeral home.

I was really good friends with Lisa in our senior year of Sparta highschool. I have so many great memories of her. She was a wonderful friend, we grew apart after graduating. I'm so sorry she had to pass so young!!! Life is too short. RIP Lisa. My thoughts and prayers go out to her boys and the rest of her family!!! Tamie

lisa always had a smile i can never remember a time where she didnt. we worked together in wayland for several years. i know she loved her boys dearly they were her world. you will be missed. sending my condolences to rick and her boys and family
