Lois Zartman

November 5, 1943 ~ January 28, 2025

Lois Kaye Zartman, age 81, inherited her eternal weight of glory on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. Lois was the middle daughter of Albert and Catherine Groeneveld. She was a retired teacher focusing on the needs of children in special education. Lois served as secretary on the Board of Directors for Riverbend Ministries, Ridgeview Memorial Gardens, and Crystal Creek Community Church. She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Dr. Ronald R. Zartman; daughter, Onalee Kaye Zartman; son, Timothy Alan Zartman; grandchildren, Caleb  Joshua “CJ” Sherry, Matthew Schuyler Sherry, Anneke Grace Sherry; brother, Arnold (Marlene) Groeneveld; sister, Mary (Bruce) Bendull; sister-in-law, Jane Groeneveld; brother-in-law, Bob Tuttle; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Groeneveld; brother, Kenneth Groeneveld; and sister, Grace Tuttle. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A private interment service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Heart Association or to Ridgeview Memorial Gardens for future cemetery enhancements in Lois’ memory.
