She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Ivan (Ike) Timmer; children, Mark Timmer, Michelle and Ron Pruitt, Randy Timmer; grandchildren, Monica and Ross Kornoelje, Robby and Niki Chase, Melissa and Tim Hoover, Amanda and Todd Gallahar, RJ and Lori Pruitt; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice and Herb Ritsema, Murial and Bob Renzema, Sheryl and Jim Norton, Dave and Cindy VanderZwaag; sister-in-law, Connie Timmer; many wonderful nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7-8) This Scripture was used in her father’s last sermon on December 25, 1959, before he was called home unexpectedly that afternoon. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grandville Calvin Christian Schools.

A sweet Aunt.. I love the message quoted from Grandpa VanderZwaag’s sermon.. as a Christian I know that we will be reunited once again.. and on a lighter note.. I still believe you were the best at getting out spots on whatever.. Memories can not be taken from us..😘

To Ike and our cousins and their families. What a fitting tribute to Marcia to reference Marinus' last sermon passage. Great Comfort to all that she is with Jesus now!

To my dear cousins and their families: It is with a sad, yet rejoicing heart that I greet you all. May Our Father be close to you at this time. My thoughts and prayers, yes, and hugs too, are with you all.

We will miss your smiling face at family reunions. We did not see each other often however our thoughts and memories were always something that we will remember fondly. Safe in the arms of Jesus will be our memory.
