Marilyn was a Master Gardener, active with the Michigan State Extension Grand Ideas Garden; she enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. After retiring from her job of over 30 years with Vention Medical, she found her passion in volunteering at the MSU gardens, Aldersgate UMC and with Meals on Wheels delivering food to the home bound, as well as teaching others about gardening and nature. Marilyn also recently had the chance of a lifetime to visit her dream state of Alaska. This was a trip she dreamed about and planned for many years!

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont, MI. Marilyn’s family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home on Tuesday. I met Marilyn through the Master Gardener program and volunteering at the Grand Ideas Garden. We enjoyed talking about gardening and also enjoyed our adventures to find new places to have lunch. I will miss you. You are gone too soon. Prayers and sincere sympathy to your family.
