Mary Jane Skivers

September 2, 1933 ~ April 8, 2025

Mary Jane Skivers, age 91, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, with her loving family by her side. Mary was a devoted member of Alger Park Church and found great joy in attending Sunday worship. She cherished time spent with her great-granddaughters, whose visits always brought a smile to her face. Mary had a quiet love for life’s simple pleasures—she enjoyed working on puzzles, tending to her beloved houseplants, and crafting beautiful handmade jewelry, especially bracelets and necklaces. She also had a fondness for classic Western films. Her warmth, creativity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Brown; daughter-in-law, Linda Brown. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Peggy Koops, Michelle Cobb, John Brown, Pamala Langford; grandchildren, Jessica and Enrique Gonzalez, Matthew Langford; great-granddaughter, Mia Gonzalez, Kahlen Patterson, Alaina Gonzalez, Makenna Gonzalez, and Rikki Gonzalez; sister, Helen Gaunt; brother Frank Gaunt; and many nieces and nephews. A Christian burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, with Pastor Norm Thomasma officiating.
