Myrtle Nylaan, age 89, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother, gramma and great-gramma. Myrtle and Harold owned Nylaan Auto Body Shop and Towing for 45 years. She was known for her joyful spirit and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years, Harold Nylaan; children, Steve and Dawn Nylaan, Randy and Shelley Nylaan, Mark and Lori Nylaan, Julie and Gary Walton; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, Jay Roede; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen Roede, Jo Kamps, Marlene Nylaan, Arvin Nylaan, Margie Leetsma; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Baldwin St. Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St. Jenison with Pastor Don Van Slyke officiating. Burial Floral View Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Spectrum Hospice for the wonderful care they showed Myrtle. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Hospice.
