Nancy Buning

Nancy Buning, age 80, of Hudsonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior and joined the love of her life, Lee, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brent and Becky Buning, Bobbi Buning-Jeltema, Jordan and Susan Buning, Kristin and Joe Ponstein; grandchildren, Chad and Tessa Buning, Carley and Josh Mazure, Cassandra and Logan Mars, Lilly and Sam Jangala, Benjamin Jeltema, Maddie and Connor Wait, Grayson Buning, Landon Buning, Morgan Buning, Ashleigh Ponstein, Trent Ponstein, Gavin Ponstein; great-grandchildren, Jackson Mars, Dane Mars, and Hazel Mars; siblings, Mary and Larry Buning, and Donna VanHaren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dotty Burkett, Doug Buning, and Greg and Sarge Buning. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, A. Lee Buning. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she loved to sew and quilt for those who needed it, loved to bake and gift baked goods to family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Georgetown Christian Reformed Church, 6475 40th Ave., Hudsonville with Rev. Marc Nelesen officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5-8 pm at church as well as one hour prior to the start of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to a Christian school of one’s choosing, Faith Hospice, or to The Special Friends group at Georgetown CRC.
