Rottman - Norman Allen Rottman, age 89 born in 1931, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. Husband of Wilma, father of Rick (Linda) Rottman, Melanie (Jim) Brighton, Pam (Gary deceased) Blok, Cynthia (Richard) Marshall, and Greg (Jennifer) Rottman. Brother, GJay Rottman (Joyce) and sister, Jean Lehman (deceased). Grandchildren, Brent (Lisa) Rottman, Nick (Amy) Rottman, Becky (Nick) Harkes, Donovan Brighton, Addison Brighton, Jason Blok, Abigail Blok, Cassie Marshall, Carmen Marshall, Brandon Rottman, Kaitlyn Rottman, Emma Rottman and six great grandchildren. Brother-in-law to Evelyn VanderKooi, Stanley Zeinstra, Robert and Betty Zeinstra, Barbara Buist, Sharon Zeinstra. Norm served in the Air Force, retired from the Michigan State Police after serving in South Haven, Detroit, Grand Haven, and Rockford, also worked for the US Marshall Service as a Court Security Officer. Long time member of Rockford Reformed Church. He enjoyed family, his coffee with the guys, boating, snowmobiling, and fixing motors. He fondly remembered working on his first Model T with his brother. The family would like to thank his caregivers for their grace and support. To the guys at Rockford Reformed, now you finally know how old he was. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 22 at Rockford Reformed Church, 4890 11 Mile Road NE, Rockford.
