Nozomi Marquez

Nozomi Marquez, age 50, of Hudsonville, passed away to be with the Lord on February 28, 2024. Nozomi was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Nozomi was born and raised in Okinawa and later moved to America. She loved being a homemaker and taking care of Max and the kids. Max and Nozomi loved to spend time at the beach and enjoy the sunshine. She was a devoted military wife while Max served in the U.S. Air Force for over 23 years. Nozomi cherished her family, and recently opened her heart to the Lord and accepted him as her Savior. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Tamimochi and Hatsuko Tamaki. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 24 years, Max Marquez; children, Nyssa and Evan Hollingsworth, Sean Marquez, Fiona Marquez; grandson, Theo Hollingsworth; sister, Sanae and Manabu Sakumoto; nephews, Jun Sakumoto and Yota Sakumoto; parents-in-law, Alan and Dana Davidson; and sister-in-law, Sabrina Davidson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at Chapel Pointe Byron Center Campus, 6252 Burlingame Ave SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 26, from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. In memory of Nozomi, floral arrangements for the service would be greatly appreciated.
