She always had extra gloves in her pocket for kids on the playground who had none. She took honor in being the oldest employee in the Comstock Park School District. Beginning with her Mother, there have been five generations in her family that have attended the Comstock Park school district. She was Team Grandma for one of her grandson’s basketball teams. After school on game day the team would walk to her home where she had a meal ready. She loved spending time with her family. Picnics at Lake Michigan, holidays, listening to her kids talk while they were visiting, or being a volunteer at Maranatha Day Camp were some of things that she treasured. She was someone who always put others before herself. She was an amazing Mother, Grandma and Great-Grandma. Visitation will be held from 10-11am, followed by the Funeral and luncheon on Friday, August 26th at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE with Pastor Todd Dykstra officiating.
