Phillip Anthony Lafata

Phillip A. Lafata, age 74, of Wyoming was called home by his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 19, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was born September 13, 1949 in Grand Rapids to the late Thomas and Goria (Pellerito) Lafata. Phillip worked at Steelcase for 26 years before retiring.  He also was a volunteer fireman for Wyoming for 10 years.  He was married to the former Charlotte Rice and has been married for over 49 years; she survives him.  Phillip enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife, he leaves three grandchildren: Jordan (Shelby) Shattuck, Alyssa Lafata, Christopher Lafata; three great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Marquese, and Kruz.  He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Lafata; and seven brothers and sisters.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
