Leave Your Tribute Message

March 16, 2022 12:10pm
Dear Linda, We grieve with you on the passing of your dear husband and our previous pastor at Noordeloos CRC (mid-70's). A few memories from us: Jim recalls when you came to Noordeloos on moving day, the last thing that had been put into your vehicle and the first thing to come out was Joe's baseball and mitt! That left a lasting impression! (Only second to the preaching of the Word of course!) When our oldest, Charity, was baptized, she cried during the singing of the song and the pastor said to the new parents "Oh she's just singing along, don't worry." That reassured me and she loves singing to this day. I (and others) also have fond memories of caring for your children in your house next door to the church so you could go to worship "unhindered" when your husband was in the pulpit. Years later, Jim remembers helping dig your motor home out of the sand at the CRC Conference Grounds 😊 Lastly, my mother, Florence Westerveld (Immanuel CRC, Burbank, IL) has really appreciated the pastor's messages and the fact that you came along with him and both engaged with the people after services. So a few snippets that are precious to us. We are praying for you along this new path you are now on and trusting the Lord will give you the peace of his Comforter. We give thanks for the work of the Kingdom that has been accomplished through the years. We pray you will continue serving the Lord in all things as is according to His good will.
