Richard Duane Cooper, age 80, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024. Rich proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing. He also enjoyed bowling, traveling and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Grace Cooper; siblings: Ron (Nancy) Cooper, Carolyn (Dale) Takas, Ken Cooper.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 20 years, Maria; children: Jim (Patti) Cooper, Anne Cooper, John (Beverly) Cooper, Mary (Jason) Fields, Michele (Gabe) Niehof, Jason (Amy) Nicholas; several grandchildren and three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will celebrate his life privately.
