Novakowski – Richard “Rick” Francis Novakowski, age 69, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Barbara Novakowski; brothers, Michael and Joseph Novakowski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roger (Diane) Shepard and James (Phyllis Dys) Shepard. Rick is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie Novakowski; brothers, Edward (April) Novakowski Jr. and Paul (Onia) Novakowski; sisters, Maryann (James) Vesper and Ann Novakowski; brother-in-law, Floyd (Nancy) Shepard; sister-in-law, Lydia Novakowski; close family friends, Tony and Pam Tropea; loyal companion dog, Cody. Sure am going to miss him. He was a big part of my life growing up. The fishing trips at his house, the drag races at Martin, Getting yelled at by dad whenever we did projects with him. The quick wit and comments. I was his beer runner. I will never forget him saying, “Paulie go grab me a beer.” Whe I came back I would give it to him. Before I walk away he would say, “Come here!” He would open it in my face just to make sure I didn’t shake it up on him. I will not forget him. Rest easy my brother.
