Robert “Bob” Prys, age 53.
March 19, 1968—November 1, 2021
Bob was called home on November 1st after a lengthy battle with surgery complications. Bob grew up in Hamilton, MI and was a graduate of Hamilton High School. He went on to work for Nelson Metals for many years, ending his career at HME Incorporated building fire trucks. His family and friends will remember his love of fishing, hunting, and camping. He loved to teach his children and grandchildren everything he could about these activities. He will also be remembered for his willingness to help anyone and everyone he could, no questions asked. If you called upon him, he was there no matter what, and never expected anything in return. Bob was also an avid gardener and provided family and friends with all the fresh vegetables he could. Bob was preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Gunnerman. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kimberly Prys; mother, Hazel Gunnerman; sons, Quinton Prys and Colton Prys; daughters, Tricia (David) Keister, Tina (Chad) Kidder, and Charity (Scott) Marshall. Bob had 12 grandchildren that he adored, Hannah Keister, Micah Armstrong, Tom Keister, Alayna, Avah, Alysse, and Andersyn Marshall, Caedyn Host, Jorden Host, Jaxson Kidder, Bailey Prys, Nyssa Prys; siblings, Dave (Michelle) Prys, Jon (Elizabeth) Prys, Ann (Terry) Hanson, Zac (Julie) Prys; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Health Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan for their care of Bob. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Lung Association of Michigan in Bob’s name. A celebration of life will be held on December 4, 2021, from 2-4 pm at 4275 Ironworks Dr. Holland, MI 49423.
