Robert Brian Ingham

November 1, 1944 ~ June 7, 2022

Robert Brian Ingham, 77, went to his Heavenly home Tuesday June 7, 2022, from his home.

Bob was born Nov 1, 1944, in Detroit, MI to Paul and Wilma Ingham. After graduating high school, Bob went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy.

After his service, Bob went on to a career lasting over 30 years with General Motors. Even after retiring from GM, Bob loved staying active and continued to another career with Eastern Floral.

One of Bob’s great pleasures in life was music - from singing in his church choir to karaoke nights with friends, music was a valued part of his life. Bob also enjoyed camping with his companion, Carol, and their beloved dog, Baxter.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents (Paul and Wilma) and sister Linda Rector. He is survived by his companion, Carol; his brother David (wife Rosalyn); his brother Steve; his children Brian (wife Sarah), Dustin (wife Sarah), Melissa King (husband Dan) and Shawn; grandchildren (Jamin, Kira, Rush, Matthew, Azariah, Olin, Austin, Kaleb, Tiger, Johnathan and Grace); previous wife Martha Riggs

Everyone who remembers Bob is asked to celebrate his life in their own way, singing a song in his memory would be quite appropriate. Visitation Sunday, June 12 at 10am at MKD Stegenga Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont followed by funeral services at noon and a luncheon afterwards. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com

To the best Dad in the world, When I get to Heaven, I’ll expect you to be waiting with a microphone in your hand so we can sing “Something Stupid” together again, and after that let’s play a few hands of Snowbird Rummy and share a bowl of popcorn. Thank you for my very life, for the road trips, for the songs, and for almost forty years of love and laughter and support and encouragement. Thank you for serving our country in the Navy, and during wartime. Thank you that I am left-handed like you. Thank you for walking me down the aisle to Dan. Thank you for being Grandpa Ingham to my boys. Most of all, thank you for asking Jesus into your heart so many years ago. Because of that, I know you are now home with Him and that I will see you there someday. I love you so dearly and I miss you already, Your favorite daughter ❤️

I met Bob many years ago through working with his son, Dustin's, band. Later Dustin and I would play in our own group. Then quite unexpectedly I bought a company that Bob worked at called Integrated Media. Later Bob's ex wife would marry my Dad and Dustin, Missy, and Shawn would become my siblings. I had a lot of crazy connections with Bob over the years. My favorite Bob story has to be when I met my wife, there was a funny story about her and an easy bake oven as a kid. I ended up ordering one and had Bob take it to her at her office and give it to her in front of her entire staff and take a picture of her opening it. He was the perfect person to deliver the gag as it was an embarrassing humorous gift and his jovial personality pulled it off perfectly. What I always loved about Bob was ability to find the fun in a situation and just enjoy the moment. God speed Bob.

I will miss my chats with Bob on Facebook. I have always enjoyed asking him questions especially about family. I could count on a good answer every time. We will miss you Bob. It has been a blessing being your cousin. We will see you in heaven when we get there, and in the meantime, we are praying for your family to have peace, strength and comfort through their time of loss. We know you are singing in heaven and rejoicing with the Angels! Jon & Karen Heitzman

We sure had great times with Bob while we lived in the area and missed that very much after we moved. We stayed in touch a bit but not nearly enough but it always felt like we had just seen each other yesterday when we talked/got together. All our condolences to Bob's family. Karaoke nights were sure a blast...I Got You Babe 😘 Dawn and Brian
