Robert James Hoffman, age 54, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, beloved son of John and Carole Hoffman, and a special child of God received his eternal reward on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Rob loved interacting with others and enjoyed being part of family celebrations, special activities like therapeutic horseback riding, and hearing stories from his favorite books. Rob made a connection with others through his sweet smile and appreciation of humorous situations, and inspired those around him to recognize unique abilities and needs in others. He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Carole (VanderNat) Hoffman; siblings and nieces and nephews: Daniel Hoffman and Gabriela Coenen-Hoffman (Matthias, Sophia), Catherine and Perry DeYoung (Burton and Kailey, Maxwell and Katelyn, Murray), Matthew and Christine Hoffman (Henry, James); and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
