Roger Glenn Springvloed, loving husband, father, and “poppa” passed away at home on Sunday, October 17, 2021. Roger was born on Feb. 15, 1946 to Edward and Tressa Springvloed in Grand Rapids, MI. He graduated from Creston High School class of 1965. Roger proudly served his country in the Navy on the USS Okinawa during the Vietnam Conflict. He married his wife, Vickie Konyndyk on July 28, 1979. Together they were blessed with three children. Until his retirement in 2012, Roger worked for Keebler/Kellogg. He was a country music lover, a fisherman, and a lifelong animal lover. Roger loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and could always be counted on for a good joke or lively water gun fight. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Tressa Springvloed and is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vickie, who was his faithful loving caretaker in his final years, and his children, Melissa and Brian Jungnitsch, James Springvloed and Laura Todd, Jason Springvloed and Victoria Krajenka; four precious grandchildren, Hannah, Grace, Jonathan, and Abigail Jungnitsch. Roger’s family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 pm and also on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at Stegenga Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Koopman officiating. So sorry to hear,of Rogers passing, he and I both went to Creston High School, and both served in the Navy. Roger helped me out while I was in Vietnam, and could not get Navy Searfarer dungarees.
He sent me about three pairs of them to me. Still liked them better than the green fatigues issued to us.
