RoseMary Post, 88, of Grand Rapids, MI met her Savior, Christ Jesus, face to face on July 25, 2021. She was born in Erie, PA to Jesse Earl Briggs and Frances Gale (Blair) Briggs on September 5, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Henry, Arthur and Howard Post and son-in-law Gene Koelsch. RoseMary grew up in Ohio where she worked as a telephone operator and met her husband of 67 years, Louis Arthur Post. They had five boys in Ohio before moving to Grand Rapids, MI in the 1960’s. Louis and RoseMary then moved the family to Hopkins, MI and began dairy farming. It was at this time their daughter came along and RoseMary began working as a custodian for Allegan Public Schools until her retirement in 1988. In their retirement years, RoseMary and Louis lived in Mancelona, MI and RoseMary worked a variety of part-time jobs to keep busy. Finally, in their sunset years, they moved back to Grand Rapids to be closer to family. RoseMary loved her church families at the Allegan Wesleyan Church, Mancelona Baptist Church, and Good News Baptist Church and was involved in various women’s Bible study groups over the years. She loved reading, especially the Bible, and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Through the years, she crocheted countless afghans for family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Louis; sons Norman (Lori) Post and Wayne Post and daughter Pansy (Gene) Koelsch; daughters-in-law Norma (Howard) Post and Conchita (Arthur) Post, grandchildren Laura Post, Candi (Marcel Wilkins) Post, Danny (Jennifer) Post, Barbi (Bobby) Hoge, Jimmy (April) Yeske, Brittany Post, Sameul Post, Diana Vescoso, Joseph Post, Michael (Denise) Post, Zach Koelsch and Luke Koelsch. Also surviving are many great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Faith Hospice and Trillium Woods for their care of RoseMary, especially her aide, Rita, whom she treasured dearly. Honoring RoseMary’s wishes, the family will hold a private gathering to celebrate her life.
Thinking of you with heartfelt condolences with deepest sympathy on your loss.
