Sandra Kay Gerard

April 30, 1948 ~ November 20, 2023

​Sandra Gerard, age 75, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Horan; sister, Carla Horan; brother, David Johnson; niece, Kelsey DeYoung. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Amy Drouin, Kathryn and Scott Gardner; grandchildren, Destiny Drouin, Amanda Harig, Alison and Lewis Penny, Kimberly and Heather Harig; great grandchildren, Reese Penny, Bennett Penny, Maya Harig; siblings, Chuck Horan, Brenda and Drew DeGood, Jodi and Scott Tuttle; boyfriend/ex-husband, Jonathan Gerard; many nieces and nephews. Sandra loved her family dearly and enjoyed all the wonderful memories they shared together. She loved the holidays, especially baking cookies and bread with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grand Rapids South United Methodist Church where she mentored children, volunteered with the food bank, and looked forward to the yearly Christmas by Candlelight celebration. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, November 28 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive SW, Grandville. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, November 27 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home for visitation and on Tuesday from 10-11 am before services. Burial will be held at Rest Lawn Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions in Sandra’s name can be made to Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary.

Sandy and I were good friends worked together on Mission committee, Food Truck ,Kids Hope one year we even helped with the church directory ,we worked together in the kitchen ,we enjoyed each others company and became good friends !! I will miss her sweet smile and her willingness to always lend a hand.L love you Sandy and will see you again one day my dear friend. Love you Helen Wagner
