Sheree Lynn Whittemore, age 63, of Caledonia, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Jane Martin. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner and husband of 20 years, Terry; son, Kyle Martin; step-children, Jason and Kathy Whittemore, Brianne Perez, Tyler Whittemore; grandchildren, Alex, Sophia, Mya, Lincoln, Ava, Tessa, Cameron; sisters, Tina and Dan Spaans, Robin Martin; nieces and nephews, Jordan and Lisa Spaans, Megan Spaans, Kevin Spaans; great nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Sheree was a passionate collector of the Barbie brand. She traveled the country planning and supporting Barbie conventions and was extremely knowledgeable about all things Barbie. Sheree loved her family and was happiest when she was with them. She considered the Barbie community to be part of her family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6 at 1pm at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave, Wyoming, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday, May 6, from 12 noon until the time of the service at the funeral chapel.

My condolences and deepest sympathy to Sheree's family and friends. I will truly miss seeing her at all the various Barbie-related events and get-togethers. My last time spent with Sheree was at the Grant a Wish convention this year where we chatted about Barbie and all things friends talk about. I loved the acrylic display creations she often did for the conventions and I was lucky to purchase one from her this year. I am so happy that I got to spend some positive moments with Sheree over the years. God Bless.

Sheree, I'm a long time member of the Barbie community and I will miss you. In our fanbase, which can be A LOT, you were a calming presence, were kind and patient with what can only be described as a "nut house". I wish I had met you at the couple of conventions I attended. May you Rest In Peace.

For many years we shared together in the Barbie club. You were always very cheerful, passionate and kind. You always helped us. In addition to our hobby, you told us anecdotes about your grandchildren, how they liked to see your collection and how much your husband supported you. We will always remember you. Sheree, you were such a crucial aspect of the doll world. It was so comforting to see you pic on recent threads and your thoughts on new releases. I looked through your OOAK doll collection with such aspiration and joy. You made our world a better place with your presence. I, and so many other collectors who are younger or newer to this world learned so much from you and your wisdom and joy of this hobby. We all will miss you. You did so much work and effort constantly for our community, and expected nothing in return. That is the definition of a person who is good. Sheree, your Barbie family will miss you. Our last conversation was at Grant A Wish just a couple of weeks ago, hanging out at the back of ballroom while the live auction was going on. I forget how we got on the topic, but we started talking about careers and following your dreams, even if they were different to what your parents might have thought for you. You shared your thoughts as a mother, how you have to let your kids be who they are, not what you want them to be. I didn't know of course that our casual but deep conversation would be our last, but I'm glad I went to GAW this year and we got to have that. Condolences to all of your family and friends that loved you and will remember you. <3

Oh Sheree, I am shocked that you are no longer with us. You had a significant impact on my life despite the fact that we never met. I will miss your encouragement, your support, your guidance, your reprimands lol, and your generosity. You gave so much to us on the Mattel forums. We “met” so many years ago on the Mattel Barbie Boards, and Sheree was always an immense source of information and generosity. When we finally met in person it was with open arms and a big smile. “If anyone needs anything, just let me know” is always something she said, and she meant it! I will miss my friend terribly and our “10 minute breaks” during Convention. To Sheree, your presence is sorely missed. To Terry, Love, Light and Strength to you and your Family.
