Steven Johnson

January 31, 1955 ~ April 1, 2024

Steven Johnson, age 69, of Wyoming, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024. For many years, Steven owned his own accounting firm, Steven M Johnson Accounting and Tax Service. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, skiing, Michigan State Sports, watching Nascar, and listening to the “Phantom of the Opera” on repeat. Steve especially loved golf and if you talked to him around this time of the year, the conversation would eventually turn to the Masters. Steven’s favorite time of the year was Christmas, his favorite movie was “The Christmas Story,” and he would often give of his time to families by playing Santa and helping children to have a memorable Christmas of their own. Above all Steven was a caring father who would help out his children whenever and however he could. Steve also counted his nieces and nephews as being among his children and grandchildren and to him they were very dear. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Louise Johnson. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jennifer Johnson, Christina (Brad) Locey; siblings, Rick (Mickey) Johnson, Carla (Mark) Christianson; nieces and nephews, David (Vanessa) Christianson, Maria Christianson; and his great nieces and nephews, Whitney Christianson, Reece Christianson, Blake Christianson, Alexander Bertrand, and Olivia Bertrand. A Memorial service will be held 11 am Thursday, April 11 at Cornerstone South Wyoming Campus, 2730 56th St. SW, with Rev. Ken Nash officiating. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 10-11 am an hour prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.

Steven, you will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss the messages back and forth and the jokes and laughing. No matter how bad my day was your smile always made it better. I will keep Stitch close to keep you close until the day I see you again.

Our families had great times even after us kids grew up and moved on. Staying in touch with everyone for so many years has been wonderful. We've been more like family than just friends. Watching OUR children grow up is fun. Your absence from gatherings is going to be very hard. You were a wonderfully fun guy. We love & miss you, Steve. RIP love Ron & Bonnie (Bowden)Bauer
