Steven Vriesman, age 68, of Hudsonville, was welcomed into the presence of Jesus on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. He loved his family and especially loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed helping out at his church and was a big fan of Unity Christian sports and Michigan football. Everyone that knew him would be welcomed by his big smile and infectious laugh. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Karen; children and grandchildren, Katie and Chris den Hollander (Reese, Cade, Crew, and Beau), Kari and Ben David (Bridget, Shaluwa, and Judah); brothers, Ron and Lynne Vriesman, Mark and Amy Vriesman; sister, Gayle and Larry Ruiter; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Fred and Anne Ferwerda, Margo Vriesman, Mary and Wayne Bredeweg, Deb and Mike Molenaar, Judy and Keith Hastings; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Vriesman; sister, Diane Ferwerda; brother, Rick Vriesman; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marv and Arlene Geurink. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, MI 49426. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope Speaks. Romans 8:28-29
