William Van Heest

August 6, 1947 ~ February 17, 2024

William Van Heest, age 76, of Wyoming, passed away to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Bill served in the Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a respiratory therapist at Trinity Health St. Mary’s for many years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Van Heest, and mother-in-law, Winnie Fry. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Laura; sons, Mike and Loretta Van Heest, Christopher and Emily Van Heest, Alexander Van Heest; grandchildren, Avery, Zoey, Ryker, Vanessa, Michael; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Cheryl Van Heest, Robert and Mary Van Heest, Bryan and Jan Van Heest; many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Harry Koops officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Wednesday, February 21 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project.
