Our heartfelt condolences to the family with the "going home" of Winabelle. We had such esteem for her and her faithfulness to the Lord's calling on her life. She was wise, kind, humble, and I could tell she was a lot of fun. She is rejoicing with her Lord and Savior after a lifetime of service. Her influence on behalf of the Lord will have ripple effects for generations to come. Precious is the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. Psalm 116:15

All of us at New Hope Community Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL are sad to hear of Winabelle's passing. She was our longest standing missionary and was dearly loved by the congregation. But we rejoice in the knowledge that last Wednesday when her work was done here on earth, there was a mighty celebration in heaven as one of our Lord's most faithful saints came home.

Miss Win (as my students called her) spent a few years volunteering in my classroom to support students in math, when she wasn't traveling to Cuba or Mexico. While she was officially at school to provide tutoring, she often shared her stories from traveling with students, and she and I shared in the joys of teaching students from all backgrounds. She never flaunted her knowledge or experiences - she had true heart for serving others. It was a joy to know her, and she will be greatly missed in our classroom!

We extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and brethren of our beloved sister Winabelle (Victoria). Her life was a radiant testimony of unwavering faith, deep compassion, and tireless service to the cause of Christ. Victoria dedicated herself wholeheartedly to Christian education and missionary work, pouring her heart into forming lives and shaping souls both in Cuba and beyond. Her leadership was marked not by titles, but by humble service, wisdom, and a Christ-like spirit that inspired many. Through her teaching, counsel, and example, she planted seeds of faith that will continue to bear fruit for generations to come. Though her passing brings sorrow, we celebrate the legacy she leaves behind—a life well-lived for the glory of God. May her memory continue to strengthen the hearts of those she mentored, taught, and served, and may the peace of Christ comfort her loved ones in this time. “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord.” (Matthew 25:21) With love, respect, and hope in the resurrection, Jorge Fontrodona

Auntie Nee was a regular word in our household with her wonderful visits to South Florida every year. When our kids Jeff and Kelly were little she loved how they would ask her all day long “whatcha doin’ Auntie Nee!?” Our cats adored her too! They were mostly aloof, but not with her! Curling up and sleeping on her lap. She loved to thrift shop for her dear friends in Cuba and we’d spend days going to all the best places!! Then purchasing suitcases to pack it all! And in between, a nice lunch out, where we would talk and talk about her ministry and Gods work! Wonderful family dinners with Mom and Dad, Mary, and Terri and Harry! And Rich and Janet if they were in town! We treasure all those memories! She was special; she truly lived the Christian life; loving, giving of herself, caring for and knowing each of us! Each Christmas she’d send a lovely box of gifts, picked out for each of us according to our interests! My beautiful nativity scenes are so treasured by me!! My kids and now my grands, set them up for me at Christmas! They will be passed down thru generations! ❤️ We were blessed to have her here for our Birthdays in Feb and she amazed us, having just returned from missionary work in Cuba!! We will miss you Auntie Nee! Thank you for being a roll model to all and for all the wonderful memories! God truly blessed us thru you and I know you are rejoicing in heaven at Jesus feet! ✝️

I was so saddened to hear of Winabelle’s passing. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I am deeply thankful for the privilege of having known and served alongside Winabelle in Cuba. Her love for the Lord and her faithful commitment to His work made a lasting impact on my life. She was vital in opening my eyes to the many needs there, and I will always be grateful for her wisdom, example, and servant’s heart. She truly lived out her calling, serving the Lord all her days with joy and devotion. As Scripture says, “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:23). I take comfort in knowing she is now resting in His glorious presence.

I will always remember you because you were a very special person in my spiritual and ministerial life. I will always thank the Lord for your time in my life and for all you contributed to it, making me a faithful believer and servant of the Lord. May the glorious presence of the Lord grant you the rest, peace, and joy you deserve for so many years of service to Him and His people. The Church in Cuba will always remember you with great affection and love. Your unconditional dedication to it and the legacy you have left among its members will never fade. See you soon, dear sister. We will see each other again and embrace each other in the presence of the Lord, where we will not have to worry about the things we experience and suffer today, because Christ comes to make all things new and to establish His kingdom of life and love forever. With your entry into glory, Christ has placed another star in his royal crown, one that will shine with the splendor of an emerald and the brilliance of a diamond, because your deeds before the Lord have dignified his work on your behalf. To God be the glory forever. Amen.
