Obituary

Sanford – Dolores R. Sanford (Boorsma) aged 86 of Wyoming was called to her heavenly home Christmas day, Friday, December 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Sanford; parents, John and Erma Boorsma; brothers, Darwin, Donald, Kenneth, Richard Boorsma; brothers-in-laws, Bob and Wayne; sister-in-law, June.  Dolores is survived by her children, Debra (Thomas) Underhill, Denise Sanford, Rhonda (Pietro) Conigliaro; 13 grandchildren; many, many great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Patricia) Sanford, Edward Perschbacker; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Sanford, Mary Sanford, Carol Boorsma, Margret Boorsma; many nieces and nephews.  Dolores was a dedicated member of Wesley Park UMC.  She enjoyed ceramics, sewing, knitting and going to the cabin. Dolores worked many years at House of Fabric in Roger Plaza until they closed; she was also a part-time secretary until her retirement in 1999.    Memorial service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 6390 Belmont Ave. NE, Belmont with Father Tony Pelak, Pastor Dean Prentiss and Deacon Pietro Conigliaro officiating.   Dolores’ family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at church.
