Obituary

Messina – Eleonora Messina aged 62 of Wyoming passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni Candela and Maria Lo Piccolo; brothers, Vito Candela, Giuseppe Candela.  Eleonora is survived by her children, Giuseppe (Candice) Messina, Maria Antonietta (Brent) Prindle; grandchildren, Giulianna Maria Messina, Isabella Rose Messina, Pietro Luca Messina, Stella Maria Prindle, Michaela Antonietta Prindle, Paolo John Prindle; brother, Salvatore Candela; sister, Angela (Rosario) Licari. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Hall St. SE, Grand Rapids. Eleonora’s family will greet relatives and friends Thursday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Stegenga Funeral Chapel – Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Ave. and 1 hour prior to the service at church on Friday.  Prayers of the rosary will be recited at 7:00PM Thursday.
