Bernard Haveman

Bernard Haveman, age 86, of North Blendon, walked into the heavenly gates rejoicing on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. He was a lifetime member of North Blendon CRC. He lived a full life as a farmer, builder and machinist. Bernie proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Courtnie Kaylor; son-in-law, Brian Prewitt; parents, Peter and Edith Haveman and Martin and Effie (Ann) Haveman; brothers, John, Lambert, Earl, Ed and Alvin Haveman; brother-in-law, Chet Baumann; sisters-in-law, Millie and Thelma Haveman; parents-in-law, Abe and Joan VanTimmeren.

Bernie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sandy Haveman (VanTimmeren); children, Michael Haveman, Barry and Jodi Haveman, Tammy Prewitt; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with 3 in the oven; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Kathy Bauman, Connie and Ken Vugteveen; sisters-in-law, Gladys and Gerrit Haveman-Huitsing, Chris Haveman, Kathy and Bob DeGroot, Julie and Mark VanderZee; brothers-in-law, Leon and Joan VanTimmeren, Herb and Karen VanTimmeren.

Funeral memorial services will be held at 11 am on Monday October 3, 2022, at North Blendon Christian Reformed Church, 7284 Taylor St., Hudsonville with Pastor Aaron Vriesman officiating. Burial Blendon Township Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the church.
