Betty Elizabeth Ritsema

Betty Elizabeth Ritsema, age 72, of Wyoming, was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt who was always there for her family. She was blessed with an independent spirit and you always knew where she stood. No matter what the circumstances, she had an unconditional love for her family and friends that will be forever cherished. She was preceded in death by her father, Antoon DeFrens, and her mother, Elsje DeFrens; her daughter, Melissa Taylor; her sister, Abelina Planck; her brother, John DeFrens. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Elsje and Brad Long; son in-law, Mark Taylor; her grandchildren, Angelique, Samantha, Kathryn, Keiana, Kyla, Jordan, Cheyenne, Mykal, Kierstin, Mathieu, AJ, Autumn, Jacklyn, Dylan; 5 great-grandchildren; her nieces and nephews, Elsa and Troy Bentley, Bill and Courtney Greenlee, Sandy DeFrens, Andy DeFrens, Lisa Greenlee; her great nieces and nephews of whom she thought of as her grandchildren, Austen and Lawrence Thayer, Kyle Cook, Harley, Anna, Booklyn.. She is also survived by a son. At Betty’s request, cremation has taken place. There are no scheduled services.
