Daniel Walter Pearson, 69, of Rockford, Michigan, was promoted to heaven on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born in Owosso, Michigan, in 1955, to Bob and Elaine Pearson, the eldest child born three minutes before his twin. Dan attended a one room schoolhouse in Owosso before graduating high school at Forest Hills Central in 1973. Throughout the years, he held many occupations starting with Dennen Steel as a truck driver, moving to Yamaha Musical, Daanes Grocery, Westinghouse, Network Marketing, West Michigan Tech Supply, and most recently FoodShare, holding various titles and responsibilities, serving God within the community. In everything he did, Dan’s goal in life was to point people to God and he did that by meeting their needs as best he could. He loved his family deeply, served God with his whole heart, and impacted the lives of those around him.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Elaine Pearson. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Lauri; his daughter, Tami (Jeremy and 5 kids); his daughter, Julie (and 2 kids); his son, Luke (Dana); his son, Nathan (Destiny and 4 kids); Karen (Caleb and 4 kids), and Amy (Luke and 2 kids); twin brother, Sam (Carla); sister, Miriam, (Brian); and brother, Bob Jr.

Visitation is on Tuesday, March 19, from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 20, from 10-11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Rd., Greenville, MI 48838. A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Greenville Church in care of Embrace Grace Ministries. Embrace Grace is a support group that provides emotional, practical and spiritual support for single, young women who are pregnant or have recently welcomed a baby.
