Daniel R. Mull

Daniel R. Mull, age 80, passed peacefully after battling cancer at his home on January 28, 2023, with his wife of 53 years by his side. Dan was born August 4, 1942, the only son of J. Robert and Esther Mull. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962-1967, before working 35 years at General Motors. He was a longtime, active member at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He volunteered for several years at the Love INC Food Pantry, and Home Repair Services of Grand Rapids. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golf, board games, playing cards, and especially socializing. He is survived by his wife, Jan Mull; four children: Jon (Becky) Mull, Janel Hagar, Jenny Christopher, and Lisa Mull; six grandchildren: Andrew, Angie, Addison, Jack, Redmond, and Zander; two sisters: Joan Lueer and Carol Hoogerhyde; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Jim VanDellen, Jerry (Carol) VanDellen, Joe (Donna) VanDellen, Jeff (Diana) VanDellen, and Jay VanDellen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Dan was preceded in death by his brothers-in­-law: Helm Lueer, Ken Hoogerhyde, and Jack VanDellen; and sister-in-law, Judy VanDellen. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1481 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Rev. Adam Peck officiating. The burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, February 1, from 3-6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
