Joseph G. Blair

Joseph Gerald Blair, age 84, of Kentwood was called home by his Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 11, 2024. He was born January 1, 1940 to the late John and Marion Blair. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Lorenzo Blair; a granddaughter, Melissa Jonker; two sisters, Ellie (Gene) Kimble, Phyllis (Pete) Sturgis; one brother, Jack (Eva) Blair. He will be lovingly remembered by his five children, Lola Tol, Janet (Al) Kiefer, Todd Blair, Joe (Heather) Blair, Tommy Blair; seventeen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ed (Pat) Blair, Gene (Kathy) Blair. Joe was a hard working man dedicated to his job. He enjoyed watching sports, playing softball, bowling, horseshoes, riding his motorcycles and spending time with his family. He truly enjoyed feeding the squirrels and the birds. He also enjoyed playing on the computer playing casino games. Joe truly enjoyed his time golfing with his brother, Ed. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, February 23 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating. Burial will be held at Rosedale Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 11 am - 1 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
