Joyce Clary

Joyce Clary, in the presence of her family, died a Holy death on March 8, 2022 after receiving all the last rites with the brown scapular around her neck. Joyce was the daughter of Robert and Edith Butler of Grand Rapids, was born on March 1, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Shirley Huddleston, Eileen Howland, Norma Bogue, Lois Clark and great granddaughter, Elizabeth Webster. She is survived by her close friend, Shirley Howrigan; sisters, Pat Tigelaar and Jackie Armock. Joyce was the loving mother of Don (Kim) Turnes, Bill Turnes, Sherry (John) Vrona, Randy (Katrina) Turnes, Paula (Darin) VanderWal. Joyce was the loving grandmother of April (Bob) Dunkelberger, Tiffany (Kevin) Webster, Becky (Kiley) Webster, Angela Murray, Kimberly (Doug) Smith, Ashlee (Mike) Bouma, Tanner Hardester, Carlie Hardester, Danielle (Brock) Prince, Shannon Vincent, Paige (Chris) Sherwood, Arro Horton, Willow Horton, Rio Horton and Michael Nicholson. She had 46 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Joyce enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, painting and pontoon boat rides with her late husband, Rudy, and other family friends. Joyce had an exceptional sense of humor and appreciation of nature. She will be gravely missed by all that knew and loved her. May she rest in peace with her Lord and Savior. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 am Friday, March 18 at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 314 E. Main St., Middleville, with Rev. Joseph Appelhanz, celebrant. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday, March 17 from 5-8pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with a Rosary service at 7:30pm. The family would like to thank Tim and Gina from Spectrum Health Hospice for all the loving care they have given. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
