June 1, 2023

Lisa Ann Raniga (Jordan) passed away suddenly on June 1, 2023. She passed away peacefully and comfortably at home, surrounded by her family.

Lisa was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan as her parent’s middle daughter. She graduated from West Catholic High School, going on to pursue a successful career in the title and real estate industry. Lisa dedicated her life to her family, friends, work, and her community. She valued her Polish heritage and cherished her annual Pulaski Days celebration. Lisa was an adventurer, always traveling, attending concerts and food festivals, or trying a new excursion. Lisa expressed love and care wherever she could: for people, animals, and of course, her beloved plants. Even while running her own business, Lisa used any moment she had to help others: volunteering in her community, cooking for her family and friends, or providing humor and entertainment for any person she encountered. She spent countless hours volunteering at different organizations in Grand Rapids, always demonstrating great pride in the city that raised her. Despite the hardships she faced, Lisa remained strong and always endured.

Lisa will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Lisa will always be remembered as an incredible daughter, sister, wife, and friend, but above all else, she was an extraordinary mother. She will be remembered for her generosity, thoughtfulness, vibrancy, and resilience.

Lisa is survived by her loving daughter, Kaycie. She is also survived by her parents, Robert and Margaret Jordan; her sisters, Shawn (Mike) Dougherty and Kim (Greg) Ras; nephews, Brian, Michael and Sam Dougherty; great nieces and nephews, Scarlett, Niko, and Waylon; and countless friends that she always considered family.

Lisa’s celebration of life will be held from 5pm-8pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral home, 4145 Chicago Dr SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
