Lois Eileen Greenlund, age 76, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, after being diagnosed with late stage pancreatic cancer.
She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Aaron Hendrick; sister, Linda Nash; brother, Jim Greenlund; her parents, Thora (Anderson) and Elof John Greenlund; and her sister-in-law, Maggie Greenlund.
Lois is survived by her children, Alicia (Joe) Force, Scott (Tina) Hendrickson, Kurt (Kelly) Hendrickson; grandchildren, Alaina (Czar), Evan (Hayley), Kaleb, and Izak; brothers, Charles (Wendy) Greenlund, Robert Greenlund; sister, Lolly (Tony) Walkons; brother-in-law, Wayne (Jill) Nash; and many wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Lois grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and graduated from Rapid River High School. She later moved to Grand Rapids with her sisters, where she met and married Rick Hendrickson. After raising their three children as a single mother, she remarried Scott Hendrick, and together, they welcomed her fourth child, Aaron.
Lois was a free spirit with a warm and effortless smile. Her genuine presence attracted many close and loyal friends over the years. Lois had a deep love of God and family. She sang often and cherished her sisters. She enjoyed writing, reading mystery novels, and her Bible. She was extremely proud of her 100% Swedish heritage.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 5-8 pm, at The Gilmore, 5179 W. River Dr NE, Comstock Park.
