Louise Anne Yost

April 2, 1953 ~
March 10, 2024

Louise Anne Yost was born to Gaylord and Natalie (Wessely) Yost, on April 2, 1953, and God called her home on March 10, 2024. Louise is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Patrick) Brinkley; her brother, Jim (Carol) Yost; her sister, Alice (Jim) Anderson; her sister of the heart, Paula Zukowski; numerous nephews and nieces; and many friends. On the breeze, whether it be in the mountains, fields, or trees—we shall feel you, dear Louise. With the warmth of a campfire or the heat of the sun, you shared lots of stories that entailed endless fun. You loved every animal—horse, cat, rat, and dog to name but a few. Your kindness will live on in so many and be remembered fondly just as the day recalls its morning dew. Your spirit was strong and full of adventure—willing to lend a hand, no matter the venture. You felt free and at home upon the back of a horse. May you find yourself there in this life’s next course. Loving, kind, and often beholder of just the right words. May your soul carry on forever like the songs of the birds. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1935 Plymouth Ave SE (Burton & Plymouth) Grand Rapids, MI, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11 am. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to Mass starting at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Killgoar Fund, Humane Society of West Michigan, or a charity of one’s choice.
