M. Judy Wideen

M. Judy Wideen, age 84, of Jenison, passed peacefully in her husband’s arms and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 13, 2023. To Judy, her family was everything and she was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family knew that whenever they needed help, they could go to her for support. Judy was also a strong woman, even through all of the medical problems she had later in her life, she was determined to get better. She was preceded in death by her siblings-in-law, Clarence Rehl, Mary Jane Nygaard, Paul Wideen, Rock Severtson; and her nephew, Matthew Rehl. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Leon Wideen; children, Bethany Peterson, Karen (John) Grooters, Steven (Katie) Wideen; grandchildren, Teresa, Adam (Jessika), Aaron (Shelby), Jamie (Grant), Michelle (Nathan), Ryan; great-grandchildren, Amare, Haddie, Avis, Adele, Nikolas, Alexandria, Ryleigh; sister, Marge; twin brother, George; siblings-in-law, Joan, Pat, Cecilia; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lake Area Christian School (Sturgis).
