Margaret “Marge” Hunter (Coffman), age 87, of Wyoming, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 13, 2022. Marge passed away peacefully at home with her family nearby. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, George Hunter; mother, Ruth Davis from Alabama; and recently, her sister, Alice Glendale Pesto. Honorable mention to her long time pet, Pom and companion, Bridget. Marge had a blessed and fulfilling life. She was the social butterfly at all events and family gatherings. She possessed a sweet, kind, and bubbly personality. In her early years, she worked as a professional at Old Kent Bank where she retired after 33 years of service. In their early years, Marge and George were avid square dancers. This allowed them quality time together, enjoying dance events with friends. Square dancing took them on many travel adventures. Marge and George spent their retirement years up at their lake home on Chippewa Lake. Marge thoroughly enjoyed all social events; plays, shows, travel, and shopping trips. Shopping, especially “bargain” shopping, was her favorite hobby. For everyone who knew Marge, her motto was “You had me at dessert!”. She loved and enjoyed going out to eat with family & friends. Marge will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Shirley Lynn Brower, Sheri and Mark Schneider; grandchildren: Eric and Erin Brower, Katie and Josh Hanenburg, and Shelby Schneider; great grands: Ian, Grant, Harlyn, and Henley. She is also survived by her loving sister and brother-in-law, Linda and David Eaves; special family members: Davie Jr., Travis, and Michael (Toni) Eaves, Skyler and Wyatt; many dear lifelong friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at St. Sebastian Historic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center, with Monsignor Bill Duncan presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. with the family sharing life memories at 6:30 p.m, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming. There will also be an hour of visitation prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
